by Action Learning

PROGRAM

The Executive Diploma in Knowledge Management is a unique one-year action learning program to apply the latest practical Knowledge Management methods to your own organisation's key performance issues. Program Directors are CSM Professors Hubert Saint-Onge and Peter Smith. Meetings can be organized so that time away from work is minimized. Each program uses CSM's Internet Services for course materials and literature access.

APPROACH

The philosophy behind the Executive Diploma program is Action Learning which makes learning more effective and valuable by focusing on your own real-world issues. This necessarily involves making real decisions and taking real-time action on real problems involving real risk. Examinations based on recollection of text book theory and historical case studies, will not be used.

AREAS OF STUDY

The program is built around six in-depth tutorial clinics:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The program has open entry for practicing managers, executives and consultants who must have the support of their employing organisation. All individuals must have approval to target their own organization's project work, or that of a client organization. All must have Internet and Email access.

LIKELY PARTICIPANTS

The program will be of particular interest to experienced managers, executives, consultants, and Chief Executives of smaller organizations. It is suitable to all public and private sector organizations. The program can also be offered custom-designed to run in-house.

BENEFITS

Action projects are designed to give tangible bottom-line payback in areas of value to the organisation. The program is concerned only with applicable knowledge, not generic text-book theory.

The Executive Diploma in Knowledge Management is a valuable qualification. It is not just another piece of paper, but a demonstration of real business achievement, as well as an academic credential. All of the topics covered represent the most up-to-date thinking in their field.
